Announced last July 19, the Les Mousquetaires group has partnered with NW operator to offer charging stations at reduced prices. Is this offer really so advantageous?

With electricity costs set to (once again) increase on August 1st, Intermarché announced in collaboration with NW operator the availability of charging stations for its customers. An especially attractive price is being offered to drivers.

An Offer at 30 Cents per kWh

Intermarché announced in a statement that the charging rate for hybrid or plug-in vehicles will be 30 cents per kWh, which is 10 cents cheaper than Lidl, which until now has had the lowest market offer. In comparison, Ionity charges 69 cents, and Electra 44 cents. Meanwhile, Tesla offers a rate of 51 cents during peak hours for non-subscribers.

Is this offer really so advantageous?

Looking at the rates from different operators, there is no doubt. An offer 10 cents cheaper than Lidl’s lowest rate of 40 cents per kWh, we remind you. However, the statement does not specify whether this refers to a 360 kW charging station like Lidl’s or a station with lower power. In that case, the offer would be less advantageous than Lidl’s, and the German company would remain the leader in terms of pricing on the market.

Expected Launch in 2024

The company announces that around one hundred points of sale will be available starting this summer. The deployment of stations across the country is planned for 2024.
