Renault Buries Mobilize and Unifies Its Electric Charging Solutions
Renault Group brings together all of its charging services under the name Plug Inn to improve their clarity.
Renault Group announces the launch of Plug Inn, a new name intended to consolidate all of its charging activities and associated services. This evolution aims to structure and clarify the group’s offerings in the context of significant growth in electric mobility in Europe. The name change will take effect in April for fast charging stations in France and will be gradually extended to other services by the end of the year.
Previously operated under Mobilize, these activities are now integrated into Renault Group’s commercial operations. The objective is to improve overall coherence, simplify access to services, and enhance users’ understanding of the offering.
Moblize has evolved
All solutions are now gathered under the Plug Inn banner, organized around three main offerings: Plug Inn fast charge for rapid charging, Plug Inn powerbox for bidirectional charging incorporating Vehicle-to-Grid technology, and Plug Inn charge pass, a payment service allowing access to a wide network of charging stations across Europe.
The first step in this transition: the Mobilize fast charge network becomes Plug Inn fast charge. Launched in 2023, it relies on terminals capable of reaching 320 kW, offering up to 400 km of range recovered in about 15 minutes for compatible vehicles.
This network was recently recognized by Chargemap for its reliability and quality of user experience. Renault Group plans to reach 93 stations by the end of 2026, primarily located in its dealerships and near major highways.
