DRIVECO recharge

The DRIVECO charging operator signs a major partnership with Brico Dépôt and Castorama to electrify shopping breaks.

DRIVECO announces a strategic partnership with Brico Dépôt and Castorama to deploy more than 70 new charging stations in their parking lots across France.

The observation is simple: while customers, both private individuals and construction professionals, make their DIY purchases, their electric vehicle often remains idle. This downtime is now becoming a charging opportunity thanks to this new agreement.

Three years after its partnership with Carrefour for nearly 400 stations, DRIVECO accelerates the deployment of fast charging by partnering with the two leading DIY retailers. More than 70 stations will be installed in Brico Dépôt and Castorama parking lots starting in 2026 and throughout 2027, representing over 500 charging points.

No time wasted while shopping

This deployment will strengthen the network already operated by DRIVECO, which will count more than 470 stations by the end of 2026. Among the first locations at Brico Dépôt are Nantes Saint-Herblain, Bordeaux Artigues, and Montpellier Lattes. At Castorama, the initial sites include Vélizy-Villacoublay, Nantes La Beaujoire, Caen Hérouville, and Vannes.

The stations will be accessible via the DRIVECO app (Autocharge compatible) as well as on major mobility apps: Chargemap, Bump, TotalEnergies, Octopus Electroverse, and DKV.

Two power levels will be offered depending on the duration of the store visit:

  • Standard charging at 22 kW, ideal for longer visits;
  • Ultra-fast charging up to 300 kW, allowing users to go from 10% to 80% battery in about 20 minutes.

This partnership allows for the integration of electric charging into the daily routines of drivers, particularly for construction professionals who make multiple stops at their material suppliers.
