Tesla Supercharger Stations: The Much-Awaited Improvements Are Finally Here

For a long time limited to charging, Tesla stations are finally starting to equip themselves with new services aimed at improving the experience of drivers.

After developing one of the largest fast charging networks in the world, Tesla now seems to be taking a new step in the evolution of its Supercharger stations. In Germany, the American manufacturer is testing a new facility particularly anticipated by its customers: a self-service vacuum installed directly near the charging stations.

This new feature allows drivers to use the charging time to clean the interior of their vehicle, a request made for several years by the Tesla community. Until now, the majority of Supercharger stations were solely dedicated to charging, with very few additional amenities, sometimes even lacking trash cans or other basic services.

For a better user experience

For some time now, the manufacturer has been gradually enriching the user experience. Some stations now have waiting lounges, vending machines, restrooms, or new relaxation areas. The installation of this vacuum fits into this desire to transform Superchargers into genuine service areas adapted to the new uses of electric mobility.

While this first installation has been spotted in Germany, it could herald a wider rollout. Tesla has not yet officially announced its intentions, but several clues suggest that these facilities could gradually be generalized across European stations. Other equipment, such as tire inflators, windshield cleaning points, or quick maintenance areas, are also among the recurring requests from users.
