XPENG strengthens its service offering in France by announcing a partnership with Electra, a European specialist in ultra-fast charging for electric vehicles.

New owners of a model from the Chinese brand will now benefit from a twelve-month subscription to Electra+ Essential, granting them access to preferential pricing across the operator’s entire network.

This initiative aligns with an underlying trend in the automotive market, where manufacturers are looking to enrich their customers’ experience by offering integrated charging services, beyond just selling the vehicle.

Exclusive access to the Electra network

The offer includes one year of Electra+ Essential subscription as well as a complimentary charging card. Users will be able to enjoy a rate announced at around €0.39/kWh on the Electra network’s charging stations.

Present in ten European countries, Electra operates more than 750 ultra-fast charging stations and claims over 500,000 regular users. The operator also highlights a 98% availability rate, a key factor for electric vehicle drivers making long journeys.

Vehicles designed for ultra-fast charging

The partnership leverages the charging capabilities of XPENG models marketed in France. The G6, G9 SUVs, and the new P7+ rely on an 800-volt electrical architecture combined with so-called 5C batteries, compatible with charging powers of up to 525 kW in direct current.

Under optimal conditions, the manufacturer announces charging from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes. With Electra stations capable of delivering up to 600 kW, the two companies emphasize a technical complementarity aimed at fully harnessing the charging performance of the vehicles.

A service-oriented strategy

With this offer, XPENG continues to develop its mobility ecosystem in Europe. Like other manufacturers, the brand aims to overcome the main barriers to electric vehicle adoption, particularly the ease of access to charging while on the move.
