Renault Trucks aims to make city centers clean and quiet
Renault Trucks expands its electric range with two trucks dedicated to urban and daily distribution where autonomy is managed.
Renault Trucks continues to expand its electric range with the arrival of the E-Tech D12 and D14, two trucks designed for deliveries in city centers where maneuverability has become a key criterion. With these new models, the manufacturer now offers an overall electric range covering urban uses from 12 to 26 tons.
The two models, identical in their design but destined for different markets – the D12 for France, the D14 for the rest of Europe – rest on a particularly compact chassis. With a width of 2.39 meters, a wheelbase of 3.8 meters, and a turning radius of under 7.3 meters, they position themselves as the most agile vehicles in the E-Tech range.

Designed for routes in the hyper-center, they also focus on a loading threshold lower than average, an asset for repeated operations in both dry and refrigerated distribution. Regarding capacities, Renault Trucks announces a payload of 5.6 tons for the D12 and 6.7 tons for the D14. Notably, these are the only trucks in their segment equipped with full air suspension, both front and rear, ensuring comfort on often bumpy urban journeys.
A calibrated autonomy for the city

The two trucks are equipped with LFP batteries totaling 176 kWh, providing them with up to 220 km of autonomy. This value easily covers a full day of distribution in urban areas. Renault Trucks also focuses on simplified recharging with a built-in 43 kW AC charger, allowing the use of common infrastructure that is less costly than fast DC chargers.
The E-Tech D12 and D14 will be assembled in Blainville-sur-Orne, the historic site of Renault Trucks and one of the European pioneers in electric trucks. With this double announcement, the zero-emission distribution range now covers segments from 12, 14, 16, 19 to 26 tons, completing a range of electromobility that extends from cargo bikes to heavy tractors.
