Here is the all-new Hyundai Santa Fe

The fifth generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe aims to blend interior luxury with exterior robustness.

After 22 years of production and 450,000 units sold in Europe alone, the large Santa Fe is being renewed with Hyundai’s “Open for More” concept, a mix of urban functionality and an invitation to enjoy outdoor living. With a length of 4,830 mm and a width of 1,900 mm, maneuvering it through the narrow streets of our city centers may not be easy, but as these areas are set to become pedestrian-friendly, it’s not a major issue. Ultimately, these dimensions seem quite reasonable in light of the beast’s massive appearance. It gains 45 mm in length for the benefit of passengers, particularly with significantly improved legroom and a larger cargo area.

A playful hybrid for the Santa Fe

At its launch, the Santa Fe introduces the new Gamma 1.6 Turbo plug-in hybrid engine. It delivers a power output of 253 hp with a torque of 367 Nm. While it is not a speed demon with a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 9.3 seconds and a top speed of 180 km/h, it should be able to handle all the tasks it is given without complaint. It features an energy recovery system during braking with paddle shifters, allowing the driver – in ECO or SMART mode – to adjust the regenerative braking across three different levels.
