M24 – New Living Museum of Motorsport
Designed as an emotional experience, the M24 – Museum of Motorsports reinvents the 24 Hours of Le Mans museum.
Unveiled at the Rétromobile show, the M24 – Museum of Motorsports marks a major transformation of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Museum. Supported by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) and Richard Mille, this ambitious project will open its doors on May 28, 2026, with a clear promise: to go beyond the simple role of an exhibition space and become an international cultural reference for motorsports.
Presented by Pierre Fillon, president of the ACO, alongside Richard Mille, Fabrice Bourrigaud, Director of Culture & Heritage at the ACO, and Frédéric Audevard, the project’s architect, the M24 was also unveiled in the presence of Mohammed Ben Sulayem, president of the International Automobile Federation (FIA). A strong symbol for a museum that aims to tell the story of Le Mans, as well as the broader history of motorsports.

Born from the partnership established in 2022 between the ACO and Richard Mille within the MACO company, the M24 continues a museum history that began in 1961 and was significantly renewed in 1991. With a surface area of 8,600 m², the future museum aims to blend heritage, innovation, and transmission, while preserving the unique DNA of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
M24 to Experience the History of Motorsports
The M24 is based on a central belief: history is lived as much as it is observed. More than 120 legendary vehicles will be displayed, accompanied by rare objects and exceptional archives covering over a century of competition. Among the emblematic pieces is Ayrton Senna’s race suit, revealed during the press conference.
The immersive scenography, designed by Raphaël Daguet, revolves around two main paths: Endurance and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the backbone of the narrative, followed by major international disciplines such as Formula 1, rally, rally raid, and IndyCar. Each car becomes a living story, from the victorious Bentley 3 Litre in 1924 to contemporary Hypercars.
Designed with a responsible approach, the building combines lines inspired by automotive aerodynamics, natural light, and sustainable materials, while promoting local businesses. A living and evolving museum, the M24 will host temporary exhibitions, exceptional loans, and professional events, with the ambition of exceeding 300,000 annual visitors.
