Start Grid and TV Schedule for the 2026 Belgian F1 Grand Prix

The 2026 Belgian Grand Prix is shaping up to be particularly open at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit. After a strong performance in qualifying, Kimi Antonelli has given Mercedes the pole position and will share the front row with Max Verstappen (Red Bull). The second row will consist of George Russell (Mercedes) and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), confirming the excellent form of the Silver Arrows on the Ardennes rollercoaster.

Behind them, Lewis Hamilton will start fifth in front of Oscar Piastri, while Arvid Lindblad surprised everyone by qualifying his Racing Bulls in seventh place. The young Brit leads Gabriel Bortoleto (Audi), who confirms the progress of the German brand.

The main victim of the penalties is Lando Norris. Third in qualifying, the reigning world champion will drop to thirteenth place after a ten-place grid penalty. Lance Stroll receives the same penalty, while Isack Hadjar and Fernando Alonso will start from the back of the grid after several components of their power unit were replaced.

Held since 1925, the Belgian Grand Prix is one of the historic events in Formula 1. Its venue, Spa-Francorchamps, remains one of the most demanding circuits in the championship. Measuring 7.004 km, it is renowned for its spectacular elevation changes, mythical corners – notably Eau Rouge, Raidillon, and Blanchimont – as well as for its often changeable weather that regularly disrupts the flow of races.
