Renault Trafic Van E-Tech electric

The new Renault Trafic Van E-Tech electric starts at €41,500 excluding VAT. Two batteries and two trims make up the range, but the most accessible versions will arrive in early 2027.

After the technical promises, it’s time to get the calculator out. Renault took advantage of the Paris Motor Show to unveil the prices of its new electric van, recently named “International Van of the Year 2027”. The entry ticket is set at €41,500 excluding VAT in the Advance trim, with a 60 kWh battery claiming a WLTP range of 350 km. To upgrade to 81 kWh and target 470 km, the price rises to €47,000 excluding VAT. These ranges are still subject to final approval.

Be aware of the timeline: orders for the large battery will open in the coming weeks, while the 60 kWh version will be marketed in early 2027. Professionals looking to access the base price will therefore have to wait.

A real Trafic, but electric

The Advance package includes a heat pump, adaptive cruise control, a rearview camera, and front, rear, and side parking assist. The 12.3-inch multimedia screen and the wooden floor of the loading area are also included.

The Extra trim notably adds automatic climate control, a mobile office, navigation with Google services, and 230 V sockets for powering electrical devices. It requires an additional €2,000 excluding VAT, bringing the minimum price to €43,500 excluding VAT. The long L2 body adds another €1,000 excluding VAT.

Another argument concerns charging times. Thanks to its 800 V architecture, the Trafic accepts up to 190 kW with the 81 kWh battery. Renault claims that 280 km of range can be recovered in twenty minutes with mixed usage. The manufacturer also promises a total cost of ownership up to 10% lower than that of an equivalent diesel. This argument needs to be weighed against the usage and charging conditions of each business.
