Starting Grid and TV Schedule for the British Grand Prix F1 2026

Meet us at Silverstone this Sunday, July 5th at 4:00 PM for the ninth round of the 2026 F1 season.

The F1 continues its journey in the 2026 season, and Kimi Antonelli continues to impress. Having already won the Sprint race a few hours earlier, the young Mercedes driver secured pole position for the British Grand Prix. At just 19 years old, the Italian claims his fifth pole of the season and confirms his status as the new leader of the World Championship.

However, Ferrari appears to have regained its form. Charles Leclerc will share the front row with Antonelli after a solid qualifying, while Lewis Hamilton, particularly awaited by his home crowd at Silverstone, will start from the third position. The Briton, who secured pole for the Sprint race on Friday but lost to his young Italian rival during the short race, still hopes to achieve a historic tenth home victory.

George Russell completes a second row that is 100% Mercedes-Ferrari despite a major scare in Q1, when a wheel lock sent him off-track. The Brit nonetheless managed to save his qualification and remains a serious contender for the win.

Behind the four favorites, Isack Hadjar confirms the excellent form of Red Bull by achieving a stunning fifth place on the grid. He is ahead of Lando Norris, who will have a tough job to secure a victory for McLaren in front of his supporters. Max Verstappen will have to settle for seventh position, just ahead of Oscar Piastri, while the Racing Bulls of Arvid Lindblad and Liam Lawson complete the Top 10.

Gabriel Bortoleto will start eleventh in front of Pierre Gasly. Nico Hülkenberg and Oliver Bearman will occupy the seventh row, while Carlos Sainz and Alexander Albon provide an eighth row that is 100% Williams. Further back, Esteban Ocon, Valtteri Bottas, Franco Colapinto, Sergio Pérez, Lance Stroll, and Fernando Alonso were all eliminated in Q1, a new disappointment for Aston Martin in front of their fans.
