TotalEnergies caps fuel prices until the end of the month!
TotalEnergies has announced the extension of its fuel price cap mechanism in mainland France.
TotalEnergies is keeping the gasoline cap at €1.99 per liter. The cap for diesel has been raised to €2.25 per liter, due to the significant increase in international prices observed since the end of March. France’s heavy reliance on diesel imports has led the company to adjust its pricing mechanism in response to this rise in global market prices.
For customers holding an electricity or gas contract with TotalEnergies and benefiting from the “fuel advantage,” the cap remains set at €1.99 per liter, regardless of the fuel type, including on highways.
A reflection beyond price
During this period, the 3,300 TotalEnergies stations in the metropolitan network will prioritize the distribution of standard diesel and will temporarily stop offering the more expensive Excellium diesel to meet high demand and protect motorists’ purchasing power.
TotalEnergies specifies that this measure applies to its entire network in mainland France. The company indicates that it will reassess the situation at the end of April, depending on the evolution of global oil prices. If international prices fall, the group commits to quickly passing these decreases on to pump prices.
Additionally, the “fuel advantage” offer at €1.99 per liter remains available to all new residential customers who sign up for an electricity and/or gas contract with TotalEnergies. The discount granted is noted on the receipt after each payment.
