O2feel Introduces an Electric Longtail Bike with ABS

O2feel has unveiled its latest model, the Equo 7, a longtail cargo bike equipped with the anti-lock braking system (ABS).

The Equo 7 ABS is O2feel’s new companion for families and children. Whether it’s to escort the little ones to school in style or to do the shopping with elegance, this electric cargo bike promises a riding experience that combines comfort and safety.

This charming longtail integrates Shimano and Blubrake’s ABS system, the Blubrake ABS. Derived from automotive technology, this system, perfectly integrated into the frame, features a sophisticated algorithm that allows it to recognize different surfaces the bike encounters to ensure a braking sensation that remains natural. It can safely stop on dry or wet surfaces, as well as on rough terrains, by maintaining wheel contact with the ground without locking the wheels.

ABS, A Guarantee of Safety

A speed sensor on the front wheel monitors its rotation and activates the ABS when the wheel’s deceleration exceeds the expected level based on the bike’s speed. When ABS kicks in, the system applies a modulated braking force to the front wheel to prevent wheel lock-up and/or lifting the rear wheel.

The Equo 7 ABS will be available for order starting early April. It is priced at 5,599 euros.
