Valhalla, the 1,065 HP Plug-In Hybrid Aston Martin

Aston Martin is set to enter a new era with the Valhalla, a plug-in hybrid supercar.

The Aston Martin Valhalla is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, of Mercedes-AMG origin, combined with three electric motors. This system delivers a combined power of 1064 horsepower and a torque of 1100 Nm, enabling a rapid acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h.

The internal combustion engine, equipped with a flat crankshaft and dry sump, alone develops 817 horsepower. The three electric motors include two units on the front axle and one integrated into the rear transmission, powered by a 6.0 kWh battery designed for intensive use. In pure electric mode, the Valhalla can travel up to 14 km at a maximum speed of 130 km/h.

The Valhalla is built around a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and weighs 1655 kg dry. Its aerodynamic design produces up to 600 kg of downforce at high speed, thanks to active elements such as the retractable rear wing and Venturi tunnels under the bodywork. In Race mode, aerodynamics are optimized with maximum deployment of the front and rear wings, while systems like regenerative braking and integrated dynamic management (IVC) ensure handling worthy of the greatest race cars.

The design of the Valhalla retains a look similar to the model unveiled in 2021, with aggressive lines and a racing-inspired appearance but less extreme than the Valkyrie. The interior, minimalist and functional, is dominated by carbon fiber materials, a Formula 1-style steering wheel, and a customizable digital dashboard.

Aston Martin plans to produce 999 units of the Valhalla, with first deliveries expected in the second half of 2025, although the model was initially announced for 2023. Sometimes patience is required… Its price should be around one million dollars.
