Skoda is launching the Superb iV Sedan in France, the fourth-generation plug-in hybrid version. This model combines a 1.5 TSI petrol engine with 150 hp and a three-phase synchronous electric motor, offering a combined power of 204 hp. With a range of up to 136 km in the WLTP mixed cycle and nearly 160 km in the urban cycle, this sedan stands out for its versatility.
The high-voltage battery of 25.7 kWh, installed under the rear seats, allows for a full charge in 2 hours and 30 minutes on an AC charging station thanks to an 11 kW charger. DC fast charging stations allow charging from 10 to 80% in just 26 minutes. While driving, regenerative braking partially recharges the battery, increasing the energy efficiency of the Skoda.
In 100% electric “e-mode,” the electric motor develops 85 kW (116 hp) and a torque of 330 Nm. This mode is ideal for daily commutes, while the three usual hybrid configurations at Skoda (E-mode, Hybrid, and Sport) allow for adapting the driving experience to specific needs.
Despite the space occupied by the battery, the trunk remains spacious with 486 liters (1,635 liters with the rear seats folded down). The interior finishes have been redesigned to integrate the new “Smart Dials” touch controls, and the second-generation Full Matrix LED headlights enhance visibility and safety.
Next-generation assistance and safety systems complement this offer, already available on the Superb Combi estate version and the Kodiaq SUV. Orders for the Superb iV Sedan are now open, with deliveries expected in the second quarter of 2025. Priced from 53,020 euros, this new plug-in hybrid variant is available in Selection, Sportline, and Laurin & Klement trims.
