The new Toyota C-HR radically changes its style

Appeared in 2016, the Toyota C-HR is set to regain its flair with a new design and features that have been integrated into every corner, including the plug-in hybrid.

The Japanese company has just unveiled its new Toyota C-HR. A new SUV, with a new “forward-looking” style that can be seen in the vehicle’s design.

A New Design

This is a new C-HR that we will see on French roads. A design much more modern than the current one. A well-defined style that echoes the Japanese brand’s SUVs. The two vehicles are no longer similar at all. The manufacturer has improved the design, which was originally one of the main reasons for purchase. It features longer lines and maintains its overall style.

Furthermore, designers and aerodynamics specialists collaborated on the project of the new C-HR to develop an aerodynamically efficient body.

A Model for Users

A digital key system will be available for the new SUV. What exactly does that mean? The vehicle’s driver will only need to approach the vehicle with their phone to access and then start it. A touchscreen will be available, ranging from 8 to 12.3 inches. Although not a novelty today, it remains a useful feature for future users.

Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid Powertrains

Several powertrain options are available for the new C-HR. Two self-charging hybrid options of 1.8 liters and 2.0 liters, as well as a plug-in hybrid version of 2.0 liters. They are respectively called Hybrid 140, 200, and 220.

For the 220 plug-in hybrid model, a geolocation feature is included. When entering a low-emission zone, the vehicle automatically switches to 100% electric mode.

Pricing and Availability?

The new Toyota C-HR will be offered in two launch series called “First Edition.” The first, the C-HR GR SPORT, will feature GR SPORT trims. The exterior color will be gray and black. The second, the C-HR First Edition Collection, will have a Collection finish, available in yellow and black.

As for prices, they are not yet available. Note that reservations will be made online in July after the world premiere.
