Peugeot 408: The Prices of the Plug-in Hybrid

On the eve of the Auto World Cup, the Peugeot 408 reveals all its prices, including the plug-in hybrid version, starting at €45,540.

Unprecedented in the lion’s lineup, the Peugeot 408 is a family crossover measuring 4.69 meters long. Offering an original body style compared to the 508 sedan, it also features a plug-in hybrid powertrain, in addition to the PureTech petrol engine.

What are the prices for the Peugeot 408 Hybrid?

Two powertrains are available in this new Peugeot. The 408 Hybrid offers a petrol-electric version with 180 and 225 horsepower. In both cases, it features a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine combined with an electric motor. The 12.4 kWh battery, the same as in the Opel Astra or Peugeot 308, provides between 62 and 63 kilometers of range in 100% electric mode, and the transmission is an 8-speed automatic. Charging is 3.7 kW as standard, with an optional 7.4 kW pack. CO< sub >2< /sub > emissions are between 26 and 27 g/km, with a theoretical average consumption of 1.1 to 1.2 l/100 km.

The first Allure trim starts at €45,450 for the 180 hp version only. The 48-month leasing offer begins at €397/month, with a €6,900 down payment. The second Allure Pack increases to €46,400 for the 180 hp version, and €48,300 for the 225 hp variant. The top-of-the-line GT reaches €49,500 for the 408 Hybrid 180, or €51,400 for the Hybrid 225. A limited launch series, 408 First Edition, of 300 units is also available, which we discussed back in September.

Note that prices remaining under €50,000 qualifies the 408 for the €1,000 bonus.

It is on the brand’s online configurator that you can discover the Peugeot 408 range. Surprise, the plug-in hybrid version already has automatic discounts! The Allure starts at €42,320, a reduction of €3,230 or -7%! The same applies to the Allure Pack listed at €43,240 (-€3,160) and the GT at €46,270 (-€3,730).

Discounts at the Peugeot Store

Peugeot is not only unveiling the model on the configurator but also at the Auto World Cup. This hybrid crossover will be the star of the stand from October 17 to 23. Other cars will be showcased as well, including the new Peugeot e-208 and the larger e-308. These two vehicles feature the new 156 hp engines and 54 kWh batteries, providing a range of 400 kilometers.
