New Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid: 519 hp and 1.4 liters/100 km

Turning a weakness into a strength. Because customers love large SUVs, why not equip it with lots of technology to make it more environmentally friendly? It has the capacity to host such solutions, and Porsche takes advantage of the situation to make its Cayenne even more relevant.

The S E-Hybrid version is obviously the best-seller in France due to its exemption from ecological tax, while the smallest 100% petrol version incurs a penalty of 50,000 euros. Needless to say, it now interests only the eccentric…

The third generation of the Cayenne S E-Hybrid has therefore taken the time to refine its package, delivering Porsche-level dynamism and fuel consumption that would not make an environmentalist choke.

In the first case, power now reaches 519 horsepower, and the chassis is equipped with adaptive air suspension that controls body roll and manages the 2.3 tons of the vehicle. The mechanics are based on a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with 353 horsepower (260 kW) coupled with an electric motor of 176 hp (130 kW). The torque stands at 750 Nm. Enough to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and cruise at 263 km/h (in Germany).

In the second case, combined WLTP consumption is 1.4 liters per 100 km (31 g of CO2/km), thanks to a 100% electric range that can extend up to 90 km in city driving. To achieve this, the Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid relies on a 25.9 kWh battery with a charging speed of 11 kW. The full charge is completed in 2 hours and 30 minutes, and the Electric mode allows for daily driving without consuming a single drop of fuel.

Also available in a four-door coupe body style, the new Cayenne S E-Hybrid is already offered starting at 119,799 euros.
