Hybrid, petrol, and diesel: the Passat for everyone!

Volkswagen enriches the range of available engines on its new Passat, and there really is something for everyone.

With a maximum range of over 120 km in all-electric mode, and more than 140 km in the city, the hybrid Passat offers an optimal solution for urban use. But the Passat is also, and perhaps above all, a tool for long-distance driving, and two new turbo diesel engines remain in the catalog. The 90 kW (122 hp) TDI is presented as the entry-level Diesel version followed by a 110 kW (150 hp) TDI. The new Passat can also already be configured with a mild hybrid engine featuring a 110 kW/150 hp eTSI entry-level engine in France.

The Plug-in Hybrid at the Forefront

Both Passat eHybrid models come equipped with an 85 kW electric motor. It is paired with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine providing 110 kW (150 hp) or 130 kW (177 hp). The 19.7 kWh battery has a charging capacity of 11 kW at a home charging station and up to 50 kW at fast charging stations. The Passat eHybrid 150 kW (204 hp) is available from €51,790. Expect to pay €63,590 as the starting price for the 200 kW (272 hp) engine.

The 90 kW TDI starts at €44,790 in base Passat trim. For the mild hybrid models, you can expect €42,990 for the gasoline version and €50,490 for the Diesel. The choice is yours; it’s up to you to find which model suits you best.
