As a reminder, the 508 PSE has a 360 hp plug-in hybrid system. It was and remains to this day the most powerful series Peugeot in history. Its powertrain, also used on the DS7 and DS9, is based on a four-cylinder petrol engine and works with an 8-speed automatic transmission. On the 508 PSE, the electric motor was powered by an 11.4 kWh battery, offering a theoretical electric range of 42 km (WLTP cycle).
We currently do not know the identity of the next model offered in PSE version. What seems certain is that it will not be the electric 208. Moreover, it appears that no 308 PSE is on the agenda, as Peugeot has preferred to focus its efforts on the electric version of the compact.
