New Mercedes eSprinter: the long-range electric van
This page is translated from the original post "Nouveau Mercedes eSprinter : le fourgon électrique à grande autonomie" in French.

Mercedes just unveiled the new eSprinter. Equipped with a battery of over 100 kWh, the electric van will offer one of the best ranges in its category.
Very close – or even identical – to its predecessor, the new eSprinter makes significant technical advancements. The battery options, previously limited to two choices (35 and 47 kWh), now include three levels: 56, 81, and 113 kWh for the largest, which has a capacity exceeding that of an EQS. Regarding range, Mercedes promises up to 400 km, and even 500 km in urban environments. However, these figures are based on simulations. Official homologation is still needed to determine the true range of the Mercedes eSprinter.
The vehicle architecture will allow for multiple lengths and different variants (panel van, chassis cab, etc.). The maximum gross weight and towing capacity are 4.25 and 2 tons respectively. The rear-mounted electric motor delivers 150 kW (204 hp) and 400 Nm of torque. Customers who do not require such power can opt for a de-rated motor of 100 kW (136 hp).
The new Mercedes eSprinter is equipped with an onboard charger of 11 kW. With a fast charger, it accepts a maximum charging power of 115 kW, enabling the 113 kWh battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in 42 minutes.
Mercedes eSprinter Features the MBUX Interface
In terms of onboard technologies, Mercedes announces the integration of the latest generation MBUX infotainment system in its van. Navigation will be capable of providing precise range estimates, taking traffic and trip profile into account. It can also adapt its suggestions for charging based on the driver’s preferences (arrive as quickly as possible, maintain a certain level of autonomy at the end of the trip, etc.).
The new eSprinter will be launched in France only at the beginning of next year. Prices have not yet been announced.
