Citroën C5 X Hypnos: Luxury, Calm, and Voluptuousness

An invitation to travel in absolute comfort, a beautiful promise for the large Citroën sedan.

Between the launches of the Tesla Model 3 and the Renault E-Tech Scenic, the presentation of the C5 X Hypnos somewhat slipped through the cracks, but the large Citroën remains a beautiful “All Inclusive” object worth a look.

The name of this limited edition references the Greek god Hypnos, god of sleep… no, the vehicle is not yet fully autonomous to allow you to take a quick nap between Porte d’Auteuil and Deauville, but driving the C5 X Hypnos is truly an invitation to relaxation and unwind, while of course remaining fully aware of your environment! Too bad for the nap.

This richly equipped version of the C5 X, called Hypnos, features an exclusive and elegant new body color, Eclipse Blue. If you don’t like it, a more classic Platinum Gray is also available. The C5 X Hypnos introduces a new bright interior ambiance, paired with warm materials and high-end equipment such as a glass sunroof or the latest high-end Hi-Fi system highlighted by advanced acoustic treatment, with acoustic front and rear window glass.

The driver and front passenger are welcomed by heated, massaging, and ventilated front seats with electric lumbar adjustments, with leather perforations that feature a chevron pattern, characteristic of Citroën. The central console has a new style with laser-engraved lines on a high-gloss black finish. Watch out for fingerprints.

The C5 X Plug-in Hybrid 225 comes with the highly successful and refined Citroën Advanced Comfort active suspension as standard. Rest assured, this is far from the famous hydropneumatic system that has brought joy to many loyalists of the brand and, almost equally, caused discomfort to some children.

Available with the Plug-in Hybrid 225 ë-EAT8 engine at €58,400 including tax, orders for this limited edition are now open with deliveries planned for early 2024.
