With a towing capacity of 44 tons powered by 490 kW (665 horsepower) and 2400 Nm of torque, the Volvo FS Electric is on par with its diesel counterparts. It stands out against the new Mercedes eActros 300/400 and the Scania 45S, all-electric and battery-powered.
Equipped with a 540 kWh battery pack, its approximately 500 km range was deemed sufficient to meet most current freight needs.
The Volvo lineup now consists of 6 completely electric models, while a highly sophisticated hybrid version is in development in the United States.
