600 horsepower for the Lynk & Co 07!

Lynk & Co is preparing to diversify its lineup with the arrival of a captivating plug-in hybrid sedan.

The European offering from Lynk & Co is currently quite modest with only the 01. This year, the plug-in hybrid SUV will be joined in Europe by a sibling model, the Lynk & Co 08 based on the Volvo XC60, no longer on the XC40. But that’s not all. For the first time in its history, Lynk & Co is launching a large sedan with an attractive technical specification.

Although Lynk & Co offers only one model in Europe, the Geely brand has a much wider range in its home country, China. It sells the 02, 03, 05, 06, 08, and 09. The latter is actually a Volvo XC90 with a Lynk & Co Chinese twist. Nearly all Lynk & Co models are SUVs or crossovers. Only the 03 is a sedan.

In the first photos, the Lynk & Co 07 is dressed in a camouflage wrap and equipped with small-diameter wheels to break the lines. Some details, however, catch the eye. Like its sister models, the 07 features a two-level lighting system, although the LED daytime running lights appear lower and more tapered.

The code name of the model is 07 EM-P, referring to the plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 1.5-liter turbo engine of its own design. With Geely’s new battery architectures, it can be offered in two power outputs: 400 hp with a single electric motor and 600 hp in Dual Motor version.

It remains to be seen whether this sedan will ever grace European roads.
