Sunreef Yacht presents a 100% electric and solar catamaran

The maritime sector is one of the most polluting in the world. To combine escape, luxury, and good conscience, electric yachts are emerging.

Environmental awareness may be progressing faster than we think. In the United States, where boating is a thriving industry, customer demand has evolved. Similar to Tesla in the automobile sector, boats are encouraged to go electric to improve their carbon footprint.

Sunreef Yacht has just unveiled a XXL catamaran (23.8 x 12 meters) with 356 m2 of interiors that is 100% electric. Equipped with a 990 kWh battery and two motors each with a power of 360 kW (490 hp), the 80 Sunreef Power Eco (that’s its name) aims to operate without harmful emissions.

double Formula 1 world champion Fernando Alonso has ordered a 60 Power Eco version.

Four luxurious cabins can accommodate up to 8 passengers and the crew. And if the idea of only sailing electrically worries you, this boat is also available in a hybrid version.
