Zero Unveils the DSR/X, Its New Electric Trail Motorcycle
This page is translated from the original post "Zero dévoile la DSR/X, son nouveau trail électrique" in French.

Thanks to a larger capacity battery, the new Zero DSR/X goes further than the “old” DSR. But it is also more expensive.
Presented as “the most performance-electric trail in the world”, the new DSR/X primarily targets the European market, which is particularly fond of this type of motorcycle. It adopts the standards of the category, including a high ground clearance (20 cm), large storage compartments at the rear (optional), and more generally, a rather angular and bulky design at the front.
The Zero DSR/X weighs 247 kilograms with the battery and features a seat positioned at 828 mm above the ground. It is powered by a motor delivering up to 75 kW (100 hp) and 225 Nm of torque. The maximum speed peaks at 180 km/h.

The lithium-ion battery is housed within a tubular steel frame. With a capacity of 17.3 kWh, it offers a theoretical range of 185 km in mixed cycle. For city use, Zero Motorcycles states a figure of 290 km. However, on highways, the estimated range drops to 137 km. As an option, the motorcycle can be fitted with an additional battery (or Power Tank), increasing total capacity to 20.1 kWh. According to the manufacturer, this boosts the range to 375 km under optimal conditions.
A new Zero already available on the configurator
Recharging the motorcycle from 0 to 95% takes about ten hours using a standard household outlet. The 230-volt cable and the optional 6 kW fast charger greatly reduce the charging time, which can be as little as 1 hour with a compatible station (for going from 0 to 95%).
The new DSR/X is already available. Priced at €26,775 without options, it is much more expensive than the DSR, an older trail-style Zero (starting at €20,130). However, it remains more affordable than the Energica Experia, its only true rival on the electric trail market.
