Kia unveils the PV5 Deep Cab, a highly versatile version of its electric utility vehicle.

Kia expands its range of electric utility vehicles with the new PV5 Deep Cab, which can transform from 2 to 5 seats in seconds without tools. This variant sits between the Cargo and Passenger versions, allowing the vehicle to quickly transform into a true mixed-use tool, capable of transporting both a crew and equipment in the same workday.

At the heart of this innovation is an ultra-intuitive lever system. A single action is enough to release the backrest, tilt the seat, and slide the partition. Switching from the two-seat configuration (maximum cargo) to the five-seat configuration (deep cab) takes just seconds, without any tools.

A modularity designed for the daily life of professionals

This model is part of Kia’s “Made In Plant” (MIP) strategy. The modifications are made directly at the factory in collaboration with specialized partners, providing a “turnkey” solution with a high level of finish and customization.

The loading volume is particularly flexible:

  • 5-seat configuration: 2.4 m³
  • 2-seat configuration: 3.7 m³

The usable length of the loading area varies from 1,278 mm to 1,965 mm depending on the chosen mode. L-track fixing rails allow for easy securing of tools, equipment, or goods. A non-slip floor and accessible V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) sockets in the cargo area further enhance its practicality.

Electrical performance and robustness

Based on the E-GMP.S platform, the PV5 Deep Cab inherits Kia’s technological expertise. It is equipped with a 51.5 kWh battery offering up to 283 km of range (WLTP cycle). The payload reaches 625 kg.

This new model, benefiting from the engineering of the PV5 Cargo, aims for easy integration into company fleets with this modularity. It meets a concrete need: having a single vehicle that can adapt its configuration throughout missions, without wasting time or compromising safety.
