A New Big Order for the Mercedes eActros 600

Mercedes-Benz Trucks accelerates the rollout of its electric truck with the delivery of 20 eActros 600 to W&P.

The Bavarian carrier W&P continues its transition to more sustainable logistics by expanding its fleet of electric Mercedes trucks. The company has just ordered 20 Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 tractors, in addition to the three eActros 300 already in service. This new acquisition brings the total number of battery electric vehicles operated by W&P to 23.

The eActros 600, the latest flagship model from Mercedes-Benz Trucks, convinced W&P with its announced range of 500 kilometers without intermediate charging and its energy efficiency. Dedicated to logistics in the recycling and high-end textile sectors, the company is clearly betting on the electric future of road transport.

Beyond a simple order of trucks

In parallel, W&P has opened a charging park at its site in Prichsenstadt, Franconia, near the A3 motorway. This facility includes 56 charging stations powered by a photovoltaic system and an energy storage capacity of 15,000 kWh. It also offers driver facilities, such as showers, toilets, and rest areas.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks assisted W&P in planning the park through its TruckCharge service, including technical advice and assistance in obtaining grants. During the opening ceremony, the keys to the 20 new trucks were officially handed over to Alexander Wehr, Managing Director of W&P, by Christian Wilz, Chairman of the Board of Mercedes-Benz Trucks & FUSO Germany.

With this dual initiative – strengthening its electric fleet and creating a private charging infrastructure – W&P demonstrates its commitment to actively contributing to the decarbonization of road transport. The company thus illustrates the concrete evolution of a player in the industry towards more environmentally friendly solutions.
