Flexis, a joint venture of CMA CGM, Volvo, and Renault, has unveiled its ambitious electric vans designed for urban use.
Flexis, an innovative company born from the collaboration between Renault Group, Volvo Group, and CMA CGM, has unveiled its range of urban logistics vehicles and services, scheduled for commercialization in 2026. Based on a common modular electric platform known as the “Skateboard” (Software Designed Vehicle – SDV), these vehicles are designed to meet the demands of urban logistics in Europe. They offer a 100% electric, connected, city-adapted, and customizable solution.
In the industrialization and pre-commercialization phase, Flexis has announced the signing of ten letters of intent with key players in urban logistics in France, the United Kingdom, and Germany, including Colis Privé, Hived, and DB Schenker. These agreements represent a potential demand for 15,000 vehicles over three years. Production will be conducted at Renault’s factory in Sandouville, Normandy, with the first deliveries expected in 2026.
Flexis vehicles stand out due to their ergonomic and efficient design. Featuring a low floor and a modular interior, they facilitate loading and unloading while offering complete customization. High-capacity batteries enable rapid charging (18 minutes) and optimal range (up to 450 km WLTP per charge). Designed for the European road network, they enhance safety and comfort for delivery drivers with an optimized seating height, reducing physical strain associated with frequent getting in and out.
Flexis is committed to a collaborative approach with its partners to co-create solutions that meet operational needs while promoting energy transition. With an investment of 350 million euros, the company has produced around twenty prototypes and accumulated over 9,000 hours of testing since March 2024, ensuring optimal performance in real-world conditions.
Philippe Divry, president of Flexis, states: “Our mission is to guide the logistics sector towards a more sustainable, profitable, and secure operation.” Flexis aims to revolutionize urban logistics with cutting-edge electric solutions, perfectly tailored to modern challenges.
