Renault Master E-Tech electric

With 460 km of range, the Renault Master sets new standards in the electric utility vehicle sector.

Presented at the end of 2023 and highly anticipated following the unveiling of the electric Trafic, here is the new Renault Master. Two battery capacities are offered: 40 kWh or 87 kWh. These two packs are packaged in a single envelope that meets both urban and peri-urban customer needs while maintaining the vehicle’s payload, which is crucial in this segment. Optimization of the range has focused on two main areas: the “Aerovan” concept and the multi-energy platform: e-motor, innovative dynamic braking, and thermal management of the battery.

The “Aerovan” concept allows the vehicle to benefit from the best efficiency in its category, regardless of the energy used. Its SCx has been reduced by more than 20%, positioning it at the top of the segment. The dynamic braking, a first in a utility vehicle, also helps limit components in the engine compartment by integrating an internal electric motor to assist braking. The system’s rapid response performance significantly enhances the vehicle’s active safety.

The latest generation of Renault Master thus features 27% lower electrical consumption than the current model and achieves a range of 460 km in WLTP cycle while maintaining its substantial load capacity. It has a payload of 1,625 kg with a category B driver’s license and a towing capacity of 2.5 tons. The consumption remains moderate at an average of 21 kWh / 100 km for the version equipped with the 87 kWh battery.

The 130 kW DC fast charging allows for restoring 252 km of range in 30 minutes. At home, charging from 10 to 100% is completed in less than four hours with a 22 kW AC Wallbox.

The new Renault Master E-Tech Electric offers two powertrain options: 96 kW or 105 kW, each delivering 300 Nm of torque, with respective batteries of 40 kWh (approximately 200 km WLTP range in progress) and 87 kWh (up to 460 km WLTP range).

Renault Master E-Tech Electric is the only vehicle in its category manufactured in France with three energy sources (thermal, electric, and hydrogen), and all bodies are assembled on the same line at our Batilly manufacturing plant. Market launch will begin in spring 2024.
