Ultra-Fast Charging Station: Reinventing Electric Charging
Atlante and the Duval Group inaugurate the first French electric charging station integrating photovoltaics and energy storage.
Atlante, a European player in fast and ultra-fast charging for electric vehicles, partners with the Duval Group to deploy in France the first next-generation charging station combining solar panels and energy storage systems. Located in Salaise-sur-Sanne, in Isère, this station aims for enhanced energy autonomy and 100% green production.
The station features eight ultra-fast charging points, capable of delivering up to 300 kW per charger. These facilities are installed under four photovoltaic canopies totaling 1,022 panels, covering more than 2,200 m². With a combined power of 460 kWc, the annual production is estimated at 550 MWh, corresponding to about 20,000 full electric vehicle charges.
Produce and Store
The site is equipped with a battery storage system of 387 kWh, allowing the station to operate autonomously for up to one hour in case of high demand or insufficient solar production. Excess energy can be injected back into the national grid, while Atlante’s energy management system controls the production, storage, and distribution of electricity in real time. This approach maximizes local self-consumption and limits dependence on the electricity grid.
The station is integrated into a commercial hub located immediately near the A7 motorway and major brands, transforming these areas into intelligent energy hubs. The development also includes environmental requalification with 30% of the surfaces renaturalized, certified BiodiverCity, illustrating the Duval Group’s commitment to biodiversity and the energy transition.
