Recharge Bélib’: a simplified rate but soaring in Paris
This page is translated from the original post "Recharge Bélib’ : un tarif simplifié mais qui flambe à Paris" in French.

The news didn’t make much noise, but nevertheless, the electric charging rates at Belib’ stations in Paris have increased for 2023.
The rise in energy prices, notably due to the conflict between the Russia and the Ukraine, is increasingly felt. After companies experienced skyrocketing electricity bills, electric motorcycle and car users will also need to make an additional effort.
The latest example is the city of Paris, which quietly announced that the public charging network was revising its rates. The only good news is that with the price harmonization, regardless of the district, all Parisians will pay the same prices.
Several plans and subscriptions
To share the costs, Parisians still have a choice between different plans: Moto, Flex, Boost, and Boost+, with respective charging powers of 3.7 kW, 7 kW, 22 kW, and 50 kW. The real bad news comes from an additional factor affecting the cost of charging, depending on the kWh of electricity consumed. It is added on top of the parking fee for chargers at 3.7 kW and 7 kW. Chargers at 22 kW and 50 kW are exempt from this fee.
If you choose to fully charge your 60 kWh Renault Megane E-Tech, it previously cost between €25 and €37.60 for a 10-hour session on a 7 kW network without a subscription. It will now cost €64 for the same operation, if you don’t have access to a fast charger of 22 kW or 50 kW.
Additionally, the Belib’ network offers subscriptions at €7/year that allow expenses to vary depending on whether you are a passing visitor or a resident. To save a little, as we will see, the charging costs are quite high.
Charge | Flex (4 h) | Boost (2 h) | Boost+ (1h) |
Visitor | €27.88 | €18.40* | €30 |
Non-resident/Resident | €25 | €17.20 | €27 |
Resident 8pm-11pm | €18.20 | €17.20 | €27 |
Resident 11pm-6am | €9.20 | €17.20 | €27 |
With this plan, and being a resident, you will then need to count on €28 to fully charge the same Renault Mégane E-Tech electric car, provided you can charge at Boost 22 kW.

It should be noted that the reservation duration is 15 minutes and costs the price of a 15-minute charge (depending on the selected station). As soon as the motorcycle or car is plugged in, the pricing starts. It is therefore not possible to schedule your charge as your car might offer. For resident subscribers, the reservation fee is waived overnight (for bookings made between 8 pm and 8 am).
