Out of Stock for Decathlon Btwin LD 920E
This page is translated from the original post "Rupture de stock pour le Decathlon Btwin LD 920E" in French.

The new flagship of Btwin’s bike range, the Decathlon LD 920E is experiencing its success… well-deserved!
Hardly available in the catalog and already out of stock, whether in high or low frame sizes. Decathlon achieved a launch that was not obvious for a premium product. In collective unconscious, Decathlon is a brand specialized in technical products, affordable in terms of price. It was therefore courageous to include a e-bike at €3,000, precisely €2,999, but we have a thing with these nines, as you probably know.

The Decathlon LD 920E carries the overall lines of the LD 500 E, but with a very different design. Its motor is no longer at the rear but within the crankset, while the frame accepts a larger battery, and the reinforced fork features an absorbing crown, with a higher handlebar. The latter hosts a connected touchscreen with many functions.
Bike with automatic transmission
At the crankset, the motor of this Decathlon is not in-house but from a Belgian startup, E2Drives. The French manufacturer invested in developing this unit, which will be produced in Lille. The motor features fully automatic transmission, of the CVT type, with a single continuously variable gear. This means that the bike delivers the same gear ratio for the rider, regardless of speed, and continuously provides a torque of 65 Nm at 250W. Now, instead of changing gears, you adjust the pedaling cadence from 40 to 90 revolutions per minute using a knob on the left handlebar. Not exactly revolutionary, but a significant evolution. We had the chance to try a pre-production version that truly impressed us.
Last but not least, while we hoped for a price below 4,000 euros, it is marketed at an unbeatable price for this level of features. Success is never by chance, and Decathlon proves it once again.
