MG seems determined to capitalize on its British heritage to shape its future models. Unveiled at the Festival of Speed in Goodwood 2026, the Cyber Concept is the most spectacular illustration of this.

This concept foreshadows a future high-performance electric SUV. Far from breaking with the brand’s historical DNA, it claims the spirit of the great MG sports cars, including the legendary EX181, holder of speed records. Its muscular design, athletic proportions, and dynamic appearance reflect MG’s desire to keep the joy of driving at the heart of its offerings, even in the era of electrification.

MG nurtures its future through its past

The message is clear: while MG is now an industrial Chinese brand, its identity remains deeply rooted in its British history. The Cyber Concept illustrates this strategy of combining technologies developed by SAIC Motor with over a hundred years of automotive tradition from across the Channel.

“Technology can be shared. Character cannot,” summarizes Jozef Kabaň, Vice President of Global Design at MG. This statement perfectly captures the ambition of the manufacturer: to design electric vehicles with a true personality that can evoke the same emotions as the sports models that forged MG’s legend.
