Since their creation four years ago, Ateliers HeritageBike has developed a nice range of electric bikes and motorcycles. Founded by Xavier Wargnier and Guillaume Monsigny, the brand, based in Annecy, quickly distinguished itself by its commitment to French craftsmanship and a focus on technological innovation. They offered the first production electric mountain bike equipped with an automatic transmission similar to that of a car and featuring the most powerful motor on the market, thanks to the French technology from Valeo. This technical feat earned the brand an award at CES in Las Vegas.

Today, with the launch of the electric 2-wheel drive mountain bike without mechanical transmission, Ateliers HeritageBike offers a world first that’s proudly French! With its dual motorization without a chain, the Heritage Altitude 2×2 promises to transform the experience of electric mountain biking. Here are some of its key features:

• Electronic crank without a chain. No more gear shifting. Algorithms automatically adjust the behavior of the crank based on the desired comfort or effort cadence, regardless of the bike’s speed or incline.

• 2-wheel drive. The two motors provide an unprecedented level of acceleration, allowing you to climb extreme slopes of over 24%.

• Energy recovery technology. Pedaling energy is recovered and transmitted to propulsion, ensuring extended autonomy even when the battery is low.

• Fully French design. The majority of the components of the Heritage Altitude 2×2 are manufactured in France.

The official presentation will take place at Eurobike 2024 in Germany, with a series launch planned for the end of 2024.
