Decathlon Reduces the Price of This Long-Range Electric Bike by €300

The Elops LD 500 is now €1,199.99 at Decathlon, a promotion that makes this electric bike equipped for daily commutes significantly more appealing.

Leaving the car in the garage becomes more tempting when the price of the bike drops. Decathlon is currently offering a €300 discount on its Elops Long Distance 500 electric bike, now priced at €1,199.99 instead of the usual €1,499.99. This 20% discount, available until October 31, 2026, applies to both high-frame and low-frame versions, depending on stock availability.

However, the interest goes beyond the promotional label. This urban bike has a coherent set of features for commuting, shopping, or extending your rides.

Up to 110 km of advertised range

Its removable 504 Wh battery allows, according to Decathlon, a range of up to 110 kilometers in economic mode. The advertised range decreases to 80 kilometers in standard mode and 60 kilometers with maximum assistance. These values are achieved under optimal conditions, which can vary notably with terrain, temperature, and carried weight.

The battery can be removed for charging at home. Expect about seven hours for a full charge: it’s better to plan departures rather than rely on a last-minute plug-in.

Assistance that truly supports pedaling

Installed in the rear wheel, the 250-watt motor generates 45 Nm of torque. Most importantly, it works with a torque sensor: the assistance adjusts to the pressure applied to the pedals for a smooth response.

An eight-speed transmission, hydraulic disc brakes, fenders, lighting, and a rear rack complete the package. These useful elements help avoid needing multiple purchases after delivery.

At under €1,200, this Elops is thus a proposal worth considering for daily commutes. The low frame will make repeated climbs and descents easier. Before ordering, a test ride will help verify size and positioning.
