Jacky Ickx returns to Bathurst with Genesis
The Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Concept made its global dynamic debut during the Bathurst 12 Hour race weekend.
Driven by the flagship model of Genesis Magma’s high-performance program, racing legend Jacky Ickx, winner of the Bathurst 1000 in 1977, conducted his first demonstration laps on the legendary Mount Panorama circuit. This spectacular concept, developed in partnership with PlayStation and integrated into the Gran Turismo series, was first unveiled at the 2023 Gran Turismo World Finals in Barcelona. It marks its first on-track appearance.
The Genesis GV60 Magma Concept, revealed at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, will also be demonstrated. This model set a record as the fastest four-door production car at the famous Goodwood “Shootout”. Production of this vehicle begins this year, paving the way for a complete lineup of Magma variants that combine bold performance and aesthetics.
