Alpine A310 Vision: the spectacular return of a 1970s icon
Alpine revives the spirit of the A310 with a concept unveiled at the Paris Motor Show. A spectacular reinterpretation, which remains a stylistic exploration with no promise of commercialization.
There is more to Alpine’s memory than just the A110. With its angular lines and unique silhouette, the A310 certainly deserves to be in the spotlight again. The brand offers it a remarkable comeback at the Paris Motor Show with the A310 Vision, a concept that projects its heritage into a much more demonstrative future.

The timing is fitting: the four-cylinder A310 celebrates its 55th anniversary, while the V6 blows out its 50 candles. To fuel their reflection, the designers have installed an original example at the heart of the studio. Their idea: to rediscover the intention behind the design, then envision its evolution with today’s resources.
The A310 flexes its muscles
The result boasts spectacular proportions. Measuring 4.55 meters long, the A310 Vision stands at just 1.18 meters high and reaches 2.03 meters wide at the rear. Its aluminum body contrasts with black underpinnings inspired by Formula 1. The wheels form an “A,” a nod to the solid wheels of the early A310s.

The details also enhance the spectacle. The headlights reveal themselves at startup through a movement called “pop down.” The hood features an aerodynamic duct known as an “S-duct,” while the rear wing is divided into two transparent elements. Beneath the cockpit bubble, organic seats and physical controls inspired by Hi-Fi suggest a deliberately sketched interior atmosphere.

This formal freedom relies on the new APP platform, which Alpine intends to showcase. An essential precision remains: the A310 Vision constitutes an independent design exercise, not the announcement of a future production car. No pricing or commercial timeline has been provided. However, it serves as a reminder that Alpine’s heritage still offers beautiful paths to explore, far beyond its famous Berlinette.
