Audi proposes a truly new Q3

Audi continues the overhaul of its lineup with the highly anticipated launch of the new generation of the compact SUV Q3.
After renewing its flagship models like the Audi A5, Q5, A6, and Q6 e-tron, the four-ringed brand unveils the new generation of the Q3. Set for 2026, the compact SUV features a modernized silhouette, new equipment, and more efficient hybrid engines. In the face of abundant competition in the compact SUV segment, Audi is repositioning its model as a technological and stylistic reference in the premium segment.

On the outside, the Q3 adopts a bold design with split headlights at the front and rear. The very visible daytime running lights sit above the matrix projectors hidden behind smoked glass, framed in glossy black. Each block houses 25,600 micro-LEDs, a technological feat as impressive as… potentially very costly to replace! At the rear, a customizable OLED lighting signature allows the choice between six graphic animations.
The Q3 embraces hybrid technology without neglecting Diesel
No more fake exhausts; the Q3 opts for a clean diffuser with hidden tips. The S Line remains dynamic in appearance. In terms of dimensions, the fenders reference the original Quattro style, and the wheels range from 17 to 20 inches. The drag coefficient drops to 0.30, enhancing aerodynamics.

The interior takes it up a notch with an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch central touchscreen running on Android Automotive. The passenger display disappears, making way for a clean driving interface marked by wide screen borders. Notable innovation: the gear lever moves behind the steering wheel, freeing up space for practical storage and multiple USB ports.

Under the hood, the Q3 offers a 1.5 mild-hybrid petrol engine with 148 hp, a 2.0 Quattro petrol engine with 261 hp, and a 2.0 TDI diesel engine with 148 hp (front-wheel drive only). A new plug-in hybrid version boasts 268 hp and 75 km of electric range (WLTP), with a rapid charge time of 30 minutes.
In France, the Audi Q3 SUV 1.5 TFSI 150 hp in Design trim will be priced from €43,850, while the plug-in hybrid version will start at €55,000. Orders are expected to open in June 2025. The Q3 thus becomes the new entry point into the Audi SUV universe, with Sportback, SQ3, and potentially RS variants to follow.
