Fiat Doblo

After the new 500 and the e-Ulysse, Fiat is taking advantage of the Doblo’s refresh to add a third electric model to its lineup.

This Doblo is definitely new, but only for Fiat. It exists in slightly different forms from other brands within the Stellantis group, and has for several years now. It’s called Berlingo at Citroën, Rifter at Peugeot, and Combo Life at Opel. Toyota, which sources its utility vehicles from Stellantis, has also been selling it since 2020 under the name Proace City.

The recipe hasn’t changed for Fiat. In summary, it involves making slight modifications to the front to give each model a distinct identity. On the Doblo, a chrome bar connects the two headlights and sits above the prominent Italian marque logo.

A Technical Sheet Without Surprises

The new e-Doblo, exclusively available in electric version, makes little evolution compared to its twins. It retains the 50 kWh battery, offering a theoretical range of 280 km (WLTP cycle). The electric motor delivers 100 kW (136 hp), and the top speed is limited to 130 km/h. Drivers can choose among three driving modes that adjust the performance and range balance (Normal, Eco, and Power).

On a fast charger, the Doblo’s charging power can reach up to 100 kW. This allows charging the battery to 80% in 30 minutes.

The new e-Doblo features several driving aids. Traffic sign recognition, lane-keeping assist, and fatigue detection are standard. The vehicle may also be equipped with a digital rearview mirror and a head-up display.

While the Doblo aimed at private customers will be exclusively electric, the van versions will also be available with gasoline and diesel engines in certain markets.

The new Doblo will be manufactured at the Spanish factory in Vigo, alongside its twins. A special edition with a specific blue color will be offered at launch. For now, prices have not been announced.
