It’s Nissan’s turn to pay its premium!

It’s not easy for the Nissan Ariya to exist in the French market while being excluded from the Eco Bonus. It deserves a little bonus.

Let’s admit right away, Nissan didn’t really have a choice… Kia on the Nitro EV and Hyundai were the first to strike by offering a €5,000 discount on their electric models. MG quickly responded by increasing the discount to €7,000 across its entire electrified range, including hybrids! On Tesla’s side, prices are dropping so rapidly that the price cuts seem to be never-ending… Nissan couldn’t afford to pass up the opportunity and offers an electric bonus for private customers on its 100% electric Ariya crossover, manufactured in its famous Tochigi factory in Japan.

The model is quite interesting with styling that incorporates some futuristic aspects. The wide, glossy black grille is flanked by very slim boomerang-shaped headlights. Distinctive features can also be seen on the front hood and the relatively high waistline. However, it is the rear that Mobiwisy finds the most successful, especially this downward sloping roofline reminiscent of sports coupes and a nice light strip.

This new offer consists of a €2,500 discount on all Nissan Ariya versions, plus an additional €2,500 trade-in assistance, exclusively for the 63 kWh Nissan Ariya. Nissan claims to do better than the announced €4,000 bonus, but unfortunately, that’s not entirely accurate…

After all discounts are deducted, this brings the entry-level Ariya price to €38,300. A significant effort from the manufacturer considering it was still priced at €45,800 in April. The question remains whether this will be enough to revive a model that has been stagnating, especially now that the Model Y is available at €37,990.
