Alfa Romeo Milano Prepares for Its Grand Debut

On the Alfa Romeo Test Center in Balocco, Italy, efforts are underway to prepare the new 100% electric Milan SUV

Alfa Romeo is also gearing up to enter the world of 100% electric vehicles. In April 2024 in Milan, the brand with the clover will unveil to the world its first compact SUV in history, which will notably be available in a fully electric version. It will be named Milano, a true tribute to the city where everything began on June 24, 1910.

Before anything else, the Milano must prove worthy of the brand’s DNA and noble Italian sportiness. This first 100% electric compact SUV will serve as an entry point for all those, whether already Alfa enthusiasts or newcomers, who want to experience a new automotive adventure with the clover. So it’s best not to miss the opportunity and to give it as much of a chance as a four-leaf clover can bring.

Besides its famous sporty clover, since 1910, Alfa Romeo’s emblem includes two of Milan’s symbols: the cross, a historic symbol of the Lombard capital, and the Biscione serpent, the coat of arms of the Visconti family, one of the most emblematic symbols of the city. For over 60 years (1910-1972), the name Milano appeared in the lower part of the logo. Until 1918, it was accompanied by the acronym “A.L.F.A.” (Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili), then from 1919, by the name “ALFA ROMEO.” The circle is complete.
