Ford offers low-cost leasing… without using the government’s scheme
Ford will not participate in the Social Leasing 2026. Instead, the American manufacturer is launching its own “Accessible Ford Leasing,” with relaxed access conditions and two offers on the hybrid and electric Puma.
Ford is choosing a different path to support the electrification of its range. While the manufacturer does not participate in the government’s Social Leasing 2026 scheme, it is launching its own formula called “ Accessible Ford Leasing ,” available from July 1 to July 31, 2026, in mainland France.
The stated goal is to offer long-term rental options without a down payment, with more flexible eligibility criteria than those of the public program. Unlike the State’s Social Leasing, this offer does not impose any conditions on the distance between home and workplace, nor on annual professional mileage.
Less aid, but fewer constraints
The scheme is also open to profiles typically excluded from the government program, such as retirees, students, teleworkers, and self-employed individuals. Ford also raises the income ceiling, with a Reference Tax Income reaching €24,031 for a single person, and allows households that have previously benefited from a social lease to subscribe to this new offer.
Of course, the assistance will be lesser due to a lack of public funding, but this advantageous financing is no longer limited to electric vehicles. Two versions of the Ford Puma are involved. The new 100% electric Puma Gen-E is offered starting from €199 per month on a long-term lease for 48 months and 40,000 km, with no down payment. According to Ford, the first payment is fully compensated by the CEE “Boost” premium awarded to eligible households.
Motorists preferring a non-rechargeable electrified engine can also access the Puma Hybrid mHEV with 125 hp, starting at €249 per month, also under long-term lease for 48 months and 40,000 km, with no down payment subject to income conditions.
Finally, Ford reminds that this private offer remains compatible with other existing public schemes, notably the “Heavy Users” 2026 bonus intended for professionals driving more than 12,000 kilometers per year.

Let’s not be fooled; with this initiative, the American manufacturer is riding the wave of the national Social Leasing from which it cannot benefit. But by betting on simplified access criteria and an offer focused on its best-selling model in Europe, the Ford Puma, it is making a notable move that would be a shame not to take advantage of.
