Ferrari Amalfi Spider: the sweet life under the open sky
With the Amalfi Spider, Ferrari transposes the spirit of its new V8 coupe into a convertible interpretation that combines performance, elegance, and versatility.
At Ferrari, designing a convertible never simply means removing a roof. With the new Amalfi Spider, the Italian manufacturer offers a modern interpretation of the front-engine spider, designed to combine sports performance, refinement, and everyday practicality. This new model embodies Ferrari’s cherished idea of a grand tourer capable of blending mechanical thrills and the joy of open-top driving.

The 3.9-liter biturbo V8 engine from the renowned F154 family resides under its long sculpted hood. In this iteration, the engine develops 640 hp at 7,500 rpm, delivering a specific power output of 166 hp/liter and a maximum engine speed of 7,600 rpm. The evolution of the turbocharger management system now allows for independent control of their rotational speed, reaching up to 171,000 rpm! This architecture enhances both the precision of the forced induction and the responsiveness to acceleration.
The engine is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automated transmission, introduced on the SF90 Stradale. Ferrari also announces several optimizations aimed at reducing weight and internal friction, particularly through the use of new lightweight camshafts and low-viscosity engine oil.
A noble soft top
One of the central elements of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider is undoubtedly its retractable soft top. Fully automatic, it opens in 13.5 seconds and can be operated while driving up to 60 km/h. Once folded, its limited space—only 220 mm thick—allows for a considerable trunk volume for the category: 255 liters with the roof closed and 172 liters with the roof open. The multi-layer fabric roof also provides acoustic and thermal insulation close to that of a retractable hardtop.

In terms of design, the spider retains the elegant proportions of the coupe version. Designed by the Ferrari Design Studio led by Flavio Manzoni, the silhouette is characterized by a long hood, clean surfaces, and sculpted volumes. The new Rosso Tramonto color, developed specifically for this model, draws inspiration from the colors of the sunset over the Amalfi Coast.
The interior adopts a “dual cockpit” architecture, enveloping the driver and passenger in two distinct spaces. The interface evolves with the return of physical controls on the steering wheel and the renowned aluminum start button. Three screens structure the digital environment: a 15.6-inch instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, and an 8.8-inch passenger display. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and MyFerrari Connect connectivity complete the equipment.
A high-tech diva
Dynamically, the Ferrari Amalfi Spider employs a brake-by-wire system coupled with ABS Evo and drift control SSC 6.1. Active aerodynamics also contributes to the car’s balance thanks to a three-position rear spoiler—Low Drag, Medium Downforce, and High Downforce—capable of generating up to 110 kg of additional downforce at 250 km/h.

Ferrari has also enhanced comfort when driving with the top down with a wind deflector integrated into the backrest of the rear seat. This elegant accessory deploys electrically to minimize turbulence in the cabin during open-air drives.
