DAF Trucks takes a new step in the electrification of road transport by launching the XG and XG+ Electric. These new 100% electric trucks complement an already award-winning range, alongside the XD and XF Electric, named “International Truck of the Year 2026.” The stated goal: to offer a zero-emission solution that can meet the requirements of regional and international transport, without compromising on range or comfort.
The XG and XG+ Electric are powered by the PACCAR EX-D2 electric motor, delivering between 270 and 350 kW, with a maximum torque of 2,400 Nm. In terms of comfort, DAF claims to offer the most spacious cabins on the market. 33 centimeters longer than those of the XF, the XG and XG+ provide an interior volume of 12.5 m³, a standing height of up to 2.2 meters, and 80 cm wide beds along their entire length. A true living space designed for long missions.
The LFP batteries, free from cobalt and nickel, come with an eight-year warranty. Their thermal stability allows for daily charging to 100%, with a transition from 10 to 80% in just over 45 minutes.
