electric bus: the Switch e1.

One of the lightest buses in its category

The e1 charges in less than 3 hours on a fast charger. With a capacity of 379 kWh, the battery uses cutting-edge technologies that improve its density and make it lighter. Weight is also a key focus for Switch Mobility. Weighing in at 10,800 kilograms, the e1 is one of the lightest 12-meter buses in Europe. This performance is also due to its monocoque structure, which Switch Mobility describes as particularly lightweight.

The e1 has 30 seats and can accommodate a total of 93 people. The low floor facilitates access for wheelchair users. To reduce the risk of accidents with other road users, the bus is equipped with multiple driver assistance systems.

The Switch e1 bus will be manufactured in Spain, in the city of Valladolid. Currently under construction, the factory is expected to be operational starting next year.
