e-Streetzone: A new Peugeot electric scooter coming soon
This page is translated from the original post "e-Streetzone : bientôt un nouveau scooter électrique Peugeot" in French.

A few days before the official presentation, Peugeot reveals an initial image and some features of its new electric scooter.
Peugeot Motocycles will soon launch an electric version of the Streetzone. The new model, logically named e-Streetzone, will be introduced at the Paris Motor Show, taking place from October 17 to 23 at Porte de Versailles. It will be displayed at Peugeot’s booth, alongside notably the new 408.
The e-Streetzone will belong to the 50cc equivalent family, limited to 45 km/h, and accessible without a license. It will be equipped with a removable battery in its most accessible configuration. A second battery—with removable features—will be offered as an option. According to Peugeot, it will extend the total range to 112 km in Eco mode.
The new Peugeot electric scooter will feature an LCD screen. With one battery, it will have under-seat storage capable of holding a jet helmet.
The new e-Streetzone arrives 26 years after the Scoot Elec, Peugeot’s first electric two-wheeler. Currently, Peugeot’s battery scooter lineup is limited to the e-Ludix, which sold 83 units in the first half of 2022 (figures for France, communicated by AAA Data).
How much will the new Peugeot electric scooter cost?
Peugeot Motocycles is still holding back on detailed information about its e-Streetzone. Price will clearly be a key factor in such a competitive market for 50cc electric scooters. To succeed, the manufacturer will need to align its prices with models like the Niu NQi Sport or Piaggio 1, which are sold for less than €3,000 in their basic configurations.
As a reminder, Peugeot Motocycles has been 100% owned by the Indian group Mahindra since 2019. Nonetheless, the Peugeot brand has maintained “a very active role in design and product development”. This was at least the initial announcement during the sale process.
