Tour de France Guide: The Composition of the Last 6 Teams, Including Jumbo Visma

It was necessary to end this week of announcements of the various teams of the Tour de France, with last year’s winner. 

Jonas Vingegaard, winner of the Tour de France last year ahead of Tadej Pogacar, will of course be present for this 110th edition of the Grande Boucle. Not to forget the presentation of Soudal Quick-Step and Alpecin – Deceuninck. 

Uno-x Pro Cycling Team 

The Norwegian team will face a tough challenge during this Grande Boucle. Sprinter Alexander Kristoff will aim to win stages on flat stages, having worn the green jersey multiple times. Within the team, six are Norwegians.

Intermarché-Circus-Wanty 

A single goal for Wanty: the first stage victory on the Tour de France. The team is well-equipped for this, with Lilian Calmejane, Rui Costa, former world champion, Louis Menttjes who has worn the white jersey, and other talented riders for the Belgian squad.

Bahrein Victorious 

The Bahrain team will be led by Mikel Landa, who has already stood on the Tour podium and entered the top 10 four times. Wout Poels will also be present to assist during mountain stages, along with Pello Bilbao.

Alpecin-Deceuninck

The Belgian team is led by the indefatigable Mathieu Van Der Poel, grandson of Poupou (Raymond Poulidor). The team will also count on Jasper Philipsen. Last year, the Belgian won on the Champs-Élysées—a dream for all sprinters.

Soudal Quick-Step

This team is simply impressive. Julian Alaphilippe as leader with Fabio Jakobsen. The French rider, coming off a difficult season, is regaining his 2019 form. Perhaps a stage win or more could be possible at this start of the Tour de France. For sprints, the team will rely on Fabio Jakobsen and his incredible train to secure victories.

Jumbo-Visma 

What to say about this team, which is arguably the best on the peloton. A team geared to win, with Christophe Laporte and Wout Van Aert for the sprints. Jonas Vingegaard and Sepp Kuss for the mountains, and Wilco Kelderman to support last year’s winner, his teammate Jonas.
