As of September 1st, it will no longer be possible to rent a free-floating scooter in Paris. Biking is the alternative, but at what cost?

Dott, Tier, Lime, and Vélib, which operator is the best? For you, we’ve gathered the offers from different operators available in the capital. The per-minute plans, as well as each operator’s subscriptions, will be available. More than 20,000 bikes are spread throughout the city, and many operators have set up shop.

Similar Pricing

Lime, Dott, and Tier all have exactly the same per-minute plan for electric bikes. The offer from the various operators is €1 to unlock the vehicle, plus 25 cents per minute of ride. For a 5-minute trip, it will cost you €1 for unlocking, plus 5 minutes at 25 cents per minute (€1.25). Adding these two, the total trip will cost €2.25.

What are the offers?

For Dott, no offers are available in the capital of France. However, Lime, Tier, and Vélib do offer various plans.

Tier offers: Five packages are available. The first is a 20-minute pass with two unlocks, called a Round-Trip Pass, at €3.49 per day. The second is a day pass, offering unlimited unlocks for 60 minutes of riding, valid for one day at €8.99. The third is called the Explore Paris Pass, valid for 3 days, priced at €19.99, with a total ride time of 200 minutes. The largest pass is the Monthly 250, offering 250 minutes of riding for €29.99 per month. Finally, there is an unlock plan currently on promotion at €1.99 instead of €3.99, which allows you to unlock each ride without paying separately, but the ride time will be billed.

Lime offers: There are five plans with this operator as well. A 24-hour pass, for 30 minutes of ride time, costing €3.99. A 3-day pass for €7.99, with 60 minutes of riding.
