The Green Bubble and its lovely vision of car-free tourism
With its solar-powered autonomous stations and immersive soft mobility routes, La Bulle Verte aims to transform the tourist “last mile” into a new sustainable experience.
Slow tourism continues to gain ground in France, and some young companies are eager to accompany this evolution in usage. This is the case for La Bulle Verte, a French startup founded in 2020, which announces the deployment of its first solar-powered autonomous stations dedicated to discovering territories car-free.
Already present at over 80 partner sites — vineyards, hotels, or tourist offices — the company develops immersive experiences accessible by foot or bike through a geolocated application enriched with audio, photo, and video content. This approach focuses as much on the discovery of the territory as on soft mobility.
Intelligent and Ecological
The novelty now lies in the launch of autonomous eco-stations designed from recycled containers and powered by solar energy. Each station features a fleet of self-service electric bikes as well as several scripted routes allowing visitors to explore the surroundings as soon as they arrive, particularly from a train station or a tourist accommodation.
After an initial trial in Gironde, 16 stations are set to be deployed in Nouvelle-Aquitaine by the end of 2026, followed by a national expansion with a goal of 40 stations by 2027.
